How long is the EMT program?

Our Accelerated EMT Program can be completed in as little as 4½ to 6 weeks, depending on your chosen schedule. Traditional programs typically run 8 to 12 weeks.

What are the requirements to enroll?

Students must be 18 years or older by course completion, possess a valid government-issued photo ID, and be able to read, write, and communicate in English. No prior medical experience is required.

Is this course approved by OCEMS and NREMT?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pacific Coast EMT follows Title 22 and Orange County EMS (OCEMS) standards. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) exam.

What’s the difference between the in-person, online, and accelerated options?

In-Person: Traditional classroom and skills lab training.
Online (Hybrid): Complete academics online, attend required in-person skills sessions.
Accelerated: Intensive format combining online coursework and full-time lab days for the fastest route to certification.

Do I need to buy any materials?

Yes. Required materials include the Emergency Care & Transportation of the Sick and Injured (12th Edition)eTextbook and Fisdap EMT Assessment Package. These may be purchased directly through our website or included with enrollment.

What certifications will I receive after completion?

Graduates earn an EMT Course Completion Certificate, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) card, and eligibility to test for NREMT Certification.

Do you offer CPR or BLS classes separately?

Yes. We offer standalone AHA BLS Provider classes for both medical professionals and the public. Visit our BLS Course page for upcoming sessions.

Where are skills sessions held?

Accepted Answer

All hands-on training is conducted at our Laguna Niguel campus or affiliated clinical locations approved by OCEMS.

Can I make payments or use financial aid?

We currently offer flexible payment plans through our enrollment team. Federal financial aid (FAFSA) is not applicable, but students may qualify for workforce training or private grants.

What happens if I miss a class or skills day?
